Rowena Laing

Rowena Laing is a Scottish artist, born in Arbroath on Scotland’s East Coast and is a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee.

She first worked as a graphic designer in London and in publishing in Scotland, before setting up a design practice with her husband in Glasgow.

Now an established painter, her work encompasses a wide range of subject matter. She works mostly in oils for her colourful landscapes with her trademark ‘black faced sheep’ and perceptive equine subjects. She is also well known for her elegant dressage horse paintings.

Her work hangs in many private collections throughout the UK, Denmark, Canada, USA, Australia, Germany, Spain and Shanghai—China.
